Reevah releases Begin, Again new EP

Derry based Indie-pop artist Reevah is delighted to announce her brand new EP ‘Begin, Again’ along with single ‘nights’ due for release on Friday 5th November 2021, the final instalment  to come from the collection of songs that Reevah recorded in The Beekeepers residence in Co. Clare.

On the EP Reevah said; “‘Begin, Again’ is significant in that it represents the ever-adapting sound of Reevah. It was brought to light after a trip to the Beekeepers in the Burren Co Clare. I thought it was the right time to return to these tracks and adapt them in a way that represents my music and the direction it is ever growing and moving toward.

It was important to me that we kept this process between myself and the band. Labelled a ‘DIY’ EP from the get-go I am extremely happy that between my drummer Brian Doherty and myself we produced, recorded and mixed the majority of the EP ourselves. An important stepping stone in the growth and progression of Reevah as an ensemble. And a small insight as to what is to come.`

Reevah’s latest single, ‘wildflower’ was the latest track to come from her upcoming E.P that was recorded against the idyllic backdrop of the Beekeeper’s residence in Co. Clare. The release garnered substantial backing from key influencers at BBC Introducing, RTE Radio 1, Today FM, Amazing Radio, Cool FM and BBC Radio Ulster. Along with glowing praise from Hotpress Magazine, Goldenplec, The Irish Times, The Last Mixed Tape, The Daily Mirror and more.

Reevah’s captivating live performance earned her the position of Musician in Residence for this year’s Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival where she supported artists such as Bronagh Gallagher and Lisa Hannigan along with her own sold-out show, a triumph in her evolving and blossoming career. Reevah’s music is supported by Help Musicians UK, Arts Council Northern Ireland and the PRS Women Make Music Fund marking her assuredly as not only an artist to watch but as an act in high demand.

In May 2020 it was announced that Reevah was shortlisted for the Glastonbury Emerging Talent competition out of 1000’s of entries across the UK. Reevah’s striking vocal and unique presence as a performer also earned her a slot at Ireland Music Week 2020 which celebrates Ireland’s most exciting new talents.

Reevah’s music is enchanting and reflective allowing the listener a chance to escape the speed of life. But it’s her voice, pure, understated, and fearless, that stays in the heart and the mind long after the music is over.
